Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee-dee, If you want fun, we are here to please
HUNTER Park Family Centre is in its fourth year of providing a family-friendly Cinema Under the Stars to the community.
In 2016, the mums from our Play2Learn play group have suggested Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
With pure imagination we’ve embraced their choice and, yes, you just may see orange Oompa Loompas at Highbrook Park, Muswellbrook, on Friday, December 2.
Willy Wonka you say, well there just has to be golden tickets. And, yes, there are.
Wonka Bar wrappers are at the library, QEII Building, Play2Learn and Hunter Park Family Centre.
Read or sing to your child at any of these places and your child will be given a wrapper to open for a chance to find a Golden Ticket.
Bring this ticket to Highbrook Park for the movie night and you will receive one of 10 prizes.
We know kids love to dress up, so we hope to see colourful storybook characters come to life in your children.
Fun starts at 5.30pm with face painting, arts and crafts provided by Toybox and a free sausage sizzle.
Muswellbrook Men’s Shed will have drinks for sale and Extreme Youth will sell popcorn.
Bring along a picnic blanket, chairs or bean bags and join us for this children’s classic that is fun for the whole family.
This event is funded by Hunter Park Family Centre, which is located at 58 Wollombi Road, Muswellbrook, and is an outreach service of Upper Hunter Community Services Inc.
The centre runs many programs such as Homework Help Hour, Child and Family Nurse, Play2Learn Playgroup and other activities for families.
Cinema Under the Stars comes alongside Reading Rocks, a great program encouraging and engaging with the community in all forms of literacy.
