Where There’s A Will Foundation was formed to raise awareness of mental health after the tragic death of Scone man Will Carrigan on Christmas Day 2015.
Co-founder Hilton Carrigan expressed his gratitude to every donor over the past year, reserving special praise for some of the smaller organisations.
A cheque for $500 was presented to Mr Carrigan last week from the Aberdeen Highland Games, while the Bunnan Hall committee and Gundy Campdraft contributed $1000 each.
Moonan Flat Campdraft also chipped in with a $2000 donation.
“On behalf of Where There’s A Will, I’d just like to thank all of those groups, it's fantastic that the whole region is really getting involved,” Mr Carrigan said.
“Every little bit helps, and it’s all going to a good cause.”
Highland Games committee member Charles Cooke said he hoped the donation was just the beginning.
“It was a unanimous decision – the whole committee wanted to make a donation to this foundation,” he said.
“We attempt to support, wherever we can, our local charities.
“And, for those who have helped us over the years, we try and help them back.”
The foundation hosted a very successful Positive Education forum at Scone High School on Monday night.
