POLICE have launched an investigation after seven firearms were stolen from a property in the Hunter Valley.

Between 7.30pm on Tuesday, October 25, and 11.20am on Friday, October 28, unknown offenders broke into a home on Ridgelands Road, Wybong.
Once inside they removed a large safe from the home which contained seven firearms, including a:
- Rugger 77/17 rifle
- CZ .22 calibre rifle
- Ruger Hawkeye rifle
- Three shotguns; and
- Sako S491 rifle
A number of power tools were also stolen.
Officers from Hunter Valley Local Area Command were notified and started an investigation.
