Despite a washout on Saturday, the fine weather on Sunday delivered a successful outcome.
Now in its second year, the festival was expanded to include helicopter joy flights and remote control cars. There was also live steam rides on the oval while the P & C committee provided great food.
A total of 10 model railway layouts from Sydney, Maitland, Newcastle and Armidale were on display, thrilling visitors from all generations.
Markets and the annual rose show added to the interest, and the town was abuzz on Sunday.
Spectators came from Sydney, Newcastle, Tamworth and Armidale and all towns in between.
Murrurundi Rotary run the event, and all profits are donated back to community groups and schools.
