Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre manager Lee Watts is inviting families, with children, to come along to Scone Park for a fun-filled day of free activities.
“This year the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre, Family Insight and Upper Hunter Shire Council have partnered to create Scone Family Fun Day with community groups in the Upper Hunter,” she said.
“There will be lots to do to keep the children busy during the school holidays with face painting, storytelling, craft, dance, puppets, a photo booth and games.
“The kids can meet with emergency services and view their vehicles, too.
“Lunch is also taken care of with a free sausage sizzle cooked by the Aberdeen Men’s Shed.
“It should be a great day out.”
The event will take place on Thursday, October 6, from 10am to 2pm at Scone Park in Aberdeen Street.
