The Broke Village Fair started about 30 years ago when a few local blokes parked half a dozen vintage cars at the Broke Store.
Today, the fair is a regular event on the calendar and car clubs from all over the Hunter and beyond are preparing for the drive to Broke on Sunday, September 11, for the Broke Village Fair.
The Hunter Valley Vintage Farm Machinery Club will also have their lovingly restored machinery on display.
The entertainment line-up includes:
* Live music from our talented band, the Broke Boys – all day
* Whip cracking demonstration from an Australian champion Andrew Thomas
* Tug-o-War competition – Macquarie champion team
* Mine tours to Bulga Open Cut at 10am, 11.30am and 1.30pm
* Rocker Cover Car Racing competition
