The two combatants went toe-to-toe in the opening stanza, with the hosts holding a narrow 12-10 lead at the break.
Muswellbrook’s tries came via Jake Parker and Brad Collett, with Bailey Taylor landing both conversions.
For Singleton, Jesse Hourn and James Bradley touched down, while Luke Rees was successful with one shot at goal.
The Rams extended their advantage early in the second period through Bryce Beverstock. Taylor added the extras for an 18-10 scoreline.
But, the Greyhounds refused to surrender.
A smart try to Brayden Turnbull narrowed the margin to 18-14 – and it was anyone’s game.
However, Muswellbrook winger Collett had other ideas.
His barnstorming four-pointer in the corner put the Rams further in front. When Taylor converted, the side looked comfortable at 24-14.
A well-deserved try to Joaby Stevens wrapped up an exciting finale. Taylor landed goal number five – and Muswellbrook lifted the title 30-14.
For his efforts, Taylor earned the man of the match.
