Competitors were divided into age groups (3-7 and 8-14) to make their best Lego creation in 20 minutes.
About 80-90 school aged children a day took part in the heats, which ran from Monday to Friday.
Two winners were selected from each heat to contest the final on Saturday.
Northcoast Productions manager Simon Griffiths, who ran the competition, said the children who were unsuccessful in the heats were encouraged to come back the next day, which resulted in more creative designs as the week progressed.
“As the week goes on, we’re getting less houses,” Mr Griffiths said.
Mr Griffiths said the response from all of the children involved was fantastic.
“The kids really go for it,” Mr Griffiths said. “They really do have amazing imaginations.”
Some of the more obscure creations included a dinosaur, a pair of glasses and a beach.
