This year, the committee is introducing a new element to the equation.
On Saturday, July 30, the group will host the Relay For Life Charity Ball to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the event in Muswellbrook.
“We haven’t done a ball before,” Muswellbrook Relay For Life committee chairperson Taya Elphinstone said.
The committee is hoping this year’s relay on September 24 and 25 will raise more money than previous years.
The charity ball has no age restriction and all are invited to attend.
There will be entertainment by 80s cover band Hot Tub Time Machine and a Sydney dance group.
The fun includes a photo booth, prizes and giveaways, and an auction.
“It’s going to be a really fun night,” Miss Elphinstone said.
“It’s just our way to kick off relay.”
The ball will be at Muswellbrook RSL Club from 6.30pm to 11pm.
Dress code is formal, with an optional 80s touch.
Cost is $100 per person and there will be tables of 10.
