The wait is over – the singer songwriter has replicated this experience and is bringing the in-home feeling to fans across Australia.
The country music star has been travelling around the country since March.
On Friday, July 8, he will perform at Muswellbrook RSL Club from 8pm.
He first performed in Muswellbrook two decades ago as a support act for Gina Jeffreys, and has returned a number of times since.
“It’s a really good area for country music in Muswellbrook,” he said.
“They love their country music and love to swing from the rafters.”
Mr Harvey recorded his latest album – Harvey’s Bar, The Backyard Sessions – in his bar at home.
His replica bar travels with him on the road and is set up for every show with a backdrop.
He said a lot of people had said how much they would love to go to his house and jam with him.
So, he decided to make this a possibility.
“It is a taste of what a night in my bar is like,” he said.
While a lot of shows have a set list of songs, people attending this tour are encouraged to request their favourites and the band will do their best to deliver.
“People just call out what they want to hear,” Mr Harvey said.
“The people decide what we do – no two nights are the same.”
The artist said he loves his job.
“There is so much doom and gloom in the world so I love when I look out into the crowd and people are having a good time,” he said.
