The NSW Government is determined to provide better support to domestic violence victims with this extra funding but we continue to need a community-wide effort to say violence is unacceptable.
The new services mean women escaping domestic and family violence will have more access to support, housing and financial assistance, transport and food, 24 hours a day.
The funding boost, part of a $20 million package, will see Upper Hunter Homelessness Specialist and Outreach Service provide additional support and housing options to help women and children leaving dangerous situations in the home.
