The Sandy Hollow Community Garden, established earlier this year, is considered a success by its supporters and organisers.
The Sandy Hollow Progress Association members are drivers behind the garden, which is located behind Sandy Hollow Community Hall.
“The Hall is maintained by a very small committee that work all year to keep it maintained and in good repair so that this [remains an] iconic landmark of Sandy Hollow,” member Sharon Wallace said.
The garden includes a number of plants in along with various fruit trees.
There is also squash, pumpkins, lettuce, tomatoes, kale, herbs, artichokes, strawberries and spinach.
The Sandy Hollow Community Garden committee members would like to thank Glencore Mangoola Coal, Muswellbrook Shire Council, Denman Dapkos, Sandy Hollow service station, and the Tourist Hotel for their support.
