About 8.40pm, a male entered the Pitt Street business and threatened staff before leaving with a small amount of cash.
He was last seen running in Laurel Lane (the laneway between the Singleton Fire Station and Rivers).
The male is described as wearing a grey hoodie covering a baseball cap, black knee length shorts with white patches on the front and back with black and white sneakers.
Detectives are interested in speaking with any witnesses or anyone who may have seen a male matching the description in the vicinity of Laurel Lane around the time of the incident.
