The TMC said westbound motorists are being diverted at the Buchanan interchange and are urged to exercise caution and reduce speed as they follow an alternate route.
Motorists should use John Renshaw Drive and Lang Street to return to the Hunter Expressway.
Drivers are advised to allow additional travel time.

The Hunter Expressway opened to traffic on March 22, 2014.
