First place prize winners at the two-day carnival were S Lyons, W Keep and T Turnbull.
In second position was D Cullen, B Reagan and N Sutton, while D McLean, P Cavanagh and K Paton were third.
Fourth place went to A May’s trio, with G Turner’s team in fifth, J Mitchell’s side in sixth, and H Hill’s outfit rounding out the top seven.
The 100 club winners were I Scott, B Taylor, N Hughes and D Cullen.
Bowlers were also in action on Thursday, with I Scott, S Gumb and H Hill the social winners.
Runner-ups went to R Broadfoot,Wazza, P Houlahan, while raffle winners were H Hill, Wazza, K Davies and S Williams.
The only game of minor singles championships saw T Turnbull defeat G Rose 31/14.
Meanwhile, Merriwa hosted Veterans Day last week.
There were four Veterans but only three of them could make the day.
Super Veterans (80 years of age) Eva Towler from Merriwa, Joan Harrison from Scone and Shirley Mills from Muswellbrook.
Star Veteran (90 years of age) was Beryl Duggan from Denman.
The ladies were presented with flower posies made by Ethel Moran, their badge by District President Wendy McKenzie and a beautiful cake made by a Merriwa lady.
