Riders will embark on a 25km journey from the Denman Pony Club Grounds to raise much-needed funds for the helicopter service.
Denman Charity Horse Ride president Tim Freeman said the event was the group’s main fundraiser.
“It’s been around for almost three decades now and nearly always raises at least $20,000 so it’s very important,” he said.
An entry fee of $15 or $50 for the family includes breakfast; while there will be a full barbecue, bar facilities and live entertainment in the evening.
Other entertainment includes laser tag, a chainsaw demonstration, jumping castle, and a whip cracking competition.
An auction, which starts at 4pm, will have items such as hay, strainers, and household products.
Stephen and Pam Simpson from Spring Valley Stud, Aberdeen, have also offered a service for their horse Dressed In Western at the auction.
Dressed In Western is a superior performance horse who has multiple national, state and Royal Show wins in both Paint and Pinto.
He has also claimed multiple Supremes, Roll of Merits, Bronze and Silver Century awards and has won both Hi Point English Horse and Hi Point Performance Horse of Australia in the world of the paint horse.
Camping with hot showers is available on both Friday and Saturday night and there will be stalls for the horses.
The horse ride will start around 7am, with a parade set to take place through Ogilvie Street, Denman.
