Upper Hunter MP Michael Johnsen said he was thrilled the local organisation had been successful in the funding round for $3370.
“I’m delighted the funding will support the Arts Upper Hunter Inc to host the Upper Hunter Theatre Forum, a one-day forum for theatre groups, individuals and educators to share successes and challenges, meet relevant industry professionals and discuss ways to promote theatre in the Upper Hunter,” he said.
“The arts play an important role in the Upper Hunter electorate by strengthening our communities by promoting social cohesion, encouraging creativity and supporting tourism and the economy.”
NSW Deputy Premer and Minister for the Arts Troy Grant said the NSW Government was supporting theatre makers to develop new artistic works, helping to create thriving arts scenes in regional communities.
