A type one diabetic, the Scone local has dealt with bouts of dizziness, hypos and headaches while competing in horse riding events.
However, she has already qualified for her first National Finals Rodeo and claimed a SZRA title since taking up the sport a year ago.
She finished the barrel race at the Braidwood Rodeo on 86 points; 14 clear of second place and a massive 22 ahead of third.
The annual zone finals attracted almost 300 competitors and brought more than 1600 spectators through the gates.
Apart from the SZRA, Jessica has also travelled from the Hunter Valley to compete in events on the NSW south coast, including Cooma, Queanbeyan and Moruya, on her pony Olympia.
The 10-year-old has shown a flamboyant personality, along with strength, determination and charisma.
Her winning character has allowed her to rise above any challenges that have come her way.
