Manager Carol McIntosh, who bought the site in August 2013, claimed a more business-savvy approach was largely behind an increase in numbers over the holiday season.
“A lot of people didn’t even know that the park was here because it hadn’t really been advertised prior to us buying it,” she said.
Mrs McIntosh believed inflated petrol prices in country areas had not deterred Sydneysiders from visiting the site.
“We cater more for older people and many of them are coming to the country as opposed to the coast to get away from both crowds and prices,” she said.
“It’s much quieter down here.”
Mrs McIntosh said the park had been particularly busy over the past couple of weeks compared to the same time last year.
