This will be only the mare’s second start and while she jumps from a fourth over 1100m at Scone late last month to the longer distance Bennett has no doubt she will handle it.
At Scone she came from near last at the turn to be beaten a little more than three lengths.
“It was a slashing run and she has progressed since then,” Bennett said.
“She is a nice, strong mare and bred to run a distance.
“She is out of a Carnegie mare and this step up in distance looks ideal for her.”
Mitchell Bell will ride Sebring Style and also Bennett’s other runner, Lucky Nic, in The Winning Feeling with Arrowfield Class Two (1280m).
“This is his fourth run back from a spell and he is knocking at the door,” Bennett said.
“Two starts back he ran third over 1000m at Scone then stepped up at his last run to run third over 1300m, also at Scone.
“This race looks ideal for him.”
The horse that Lucky Nic has to overcome is the Peter Nestor trained Dane De Lago which has hit a purple patch of form this preparation winning a maiden at Dubbo early last month then backing up three weeks later to win a Class Three at Orange.
Prior to that he had started five times without running into a place but after Nestor took the winkers off Dane De Lago has been finding the winning post.
Muswellbrook’s newest trainer Mark Schmester will have two runners as he strives to lead in his first winner on what is now his home track.
He landed his first winner since making the move from Canberra when Torio Away won at Scone last month and since then has led in seven seconds on country and provincial tracks and had a third at Warwick Farm with Run Cannon Run.
His two runners tomorrow are the first starter Doesn’t Make Sense in the Valentines Day @ Muswellbrook Races Feb 14 Maiden (1000m) and Torio Away in the HTBA Class One And Maiden (1750m).
Doesn’t Make Sense, by Street Sense, trialed nicely at Muswellbrook when second last month while Torio Away followed up his Scone win with a good second there behind Ode To Caitlin on December 27.
Both his runs at Scone were over 1600m and this slightly longer distance looks to suit.
