Firstly, you take in the expansive view over the Upper Hunter but then your eye comes back to the bursts of colour from the meandering wisteria that embraces the verandah to the stone walls studded with annual blooms.
On Sunday, October 5, the garden at 1020 Edderton Road, between Jerrys Plains and Muswellbrook, will be open to the public from 2 to 5pm.
Afternoon tea will be served and there will also be a small plant sale.
Proceeds from the event will support Denman Hospital Auxiliary, a cause close to Narelle Petith’s heart.
Narelle’s mother, Jessie Barwick, occasionally took respite at Denman Hospital and Narelle cannot speak highly enough of the care her mother received.
“We’ve just had a wedding at the garden and it is looking lovely so I thought why not open it to the public and support the hospital at the same time,” Narelle said.
Please call Narelle on 0402 343 051 or Janette Hann on 0413 159 071 if you intend to attend for catering purposes.
