AN investigation is underway after shots were allegedly fired at a car last week, leading police to seize a number of firearms near Singleton.

Just after 11pm on Thursday, August 28, a 19-year-old man was driving a Toyota Landcruiser along Dyrring Road, Dyrring, about 11km north east of Singleton.
Police have been told the man heard gun shots from behind his vehicle. He drove to his home at Wattle Ponds.
On Wednesday, September 3, on close inspection of his vehicle, the man found what is believed to be bullet holes in his vehicle.
Officers attached to Hunter Valley Local Area Command were notified of the incident and began investigations.
The man’s vehicle was seized for forensic examination.
Following inquiries, on Thursday, September 4, police executed a search warrant at a home on Bowen Parade, Singleton.
They allegedly located and seized a .22 calibre rifle, an unregistered air rifle, and three additional firearms with ammunition.
No-one was at the home at the time of the search warrant.
