Hollydene Estate resembled a movie set last week when Jaguar Australia released its new F-TYPE Coupe over two days in the Upper Hunter.
Leaving North Sydney, the fleet of F-TYPE Coupes and XF Sports R Saloons – driven by motor journalists and Jaguar executives and technical teams from throughout Australia – were put through their paces via the M5 west to the Putty Road and onto Hollydene Estate at Jerrys Plains.
The executives then enjoyed the vista and a sumptuous long lunch, overlooking the vineyard while soaking up Hollydene’s renowned hospitality at Vines Restaurant.
The entourage refuelled and took part in a photo session before returning to Sydney.
“It was a real coup for us to host the event; we were stoked,” Hollydene Estate’s Trudy Merta said.
“Bethany (from Jaguar Australia) heard of Hollydene and decided to Google it.
“She thought the estate was ideal for the launch.
“We hope, after its success last week, that it opens the doors for other similar possibilities.
“It was also a great chance to promote the Upper Hunter valley.”
The all-aluminium F-TYPE Coupe, Jaguar’s most dynamically capable, performance-focused sports car, is due to arrive in Australian dealerships this month.
It will be available in three variants – F-TYPE, F-TYPE S and F-TYPE R.
The range-topping F-TYPE R Coupe represents the pinnacle of the F-TYPE range.
The F-TYPE R Coupe is powered by Jaguar’s 5.0-litre super-charged V8 engine in 404kW/680Nm tune, delivering acceleration to 100km/h in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 300km/h.
The F-TYPE S Coupe and F-TYPE Coupe are powered by Jaguar’s 3.0-litre V6 super-charged petrol engines in 280kW/460Nm and 250kW/450Nm forms respectively, giving 0-100km/h in 4.9/5.3-seconds and top speeds of 275/260km/h.
The F-TYPE Coupe embodies the uncompromised design vision of the stunning Jaguar C-X16 concept sports coup that debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, its dramatic cabin-rearward stance being defined by three heartlines.
