According to their president Mandy Archibald, they are achieving that goal.
The award presentation ceremony of this year’s Prize presented a variety of works to charm attendees.
The exhibition included new sections - black and white photos, and portraiture.
Mrs Archibald said the night was a success with a record number of entrants and great attendance.
“We were really happy with the roll up,” she told the Hunter Valley News.
“I’d like to thank our sponsors and exhibitors.
“Without them we wouldn’t be able to have the [event].”
Sally Alden of Quirindi was given the challenge of choosing a winner from the array of images.
She awarded the Emirates Park Best in Show to Rhonda Thwaite for her photo Abi Yawns, which also won the animals and wildlife category.
Tobie Hynes won the landscape and gardens section with Boston Glow, and Chantelle Laucht topped the portraiture division with her photo titled Louise.
If you haven’t yet seen the display it isn’t too late.
The exhibition can be viewed this weekend, July 26 and 27, from 10am to 4pm, at the Murrurundi RSL Hall.
Members of the public are welcome.
