The Devils pipped the host side 23-22.
But, it was the off-field action which had club officials smiling.
“We had a very successful day,” Tigers secretary Carly Paterson said.
“We’d like to take the opportunity to extend a huge thank you to Peter Soyer for conducting our Pink Jumper auction.
“The club is also very proud to announce that we will be making very substantial donations to breast cancer research and our chosen charity, Motor Neurone Disease.
“With money tight for everyone at the moment, it was great to see all the supporters dig deep for such vital organisations.
“Our thanks go to all who made this special day possible – and everyone who came along.
“We hope you enjoyed your day.”
In other Group 21 first grade fixtures, the Muswellbrook Rams proved too strong for the Singleton Greyhounds 28-20 and Scone Thoroughbreds upstaged Greta Branxton Colts 26-12.
Round 11 action this weekend will see Aberdeen play host to Greta Branxton at McKinnon Oval on Saturday.
On Sunday, Scone and Muswellbrook lock horns and Singleton travels to Denman.
