The line-up of Ray Hadley, rugby league Immortal Bob Fulton, Steve “Blocker” Roach and Darryl “The Big Marn” Brohman will broadcast their popular program from the Muswellbrook Showground on Saturday between noon and 5pm.
And, Mrs Webster couldn’t be happier.
“I have to praise Power FM for putting this in our hands,” she admitted.
“But, it will open the Upper Hunter Show up to a whole new audience, literally to thousands and thousands of people.
“This is an Australia-wide program with a huge listening audience.
“It could bring Muswellbrook to the fore.
“I’m really looking forward to them coming here.
“To be honest, I’m over the moon.”
The Continuous Call Team will set up stage on the Entertainment Lawn of the Muswellbrook Showground – in an area that allows all interested residents to meet and greet the quartet.
“If anyone listens to Ray, Bob, Steve and Darryl on a regular basis, and there are a lot of people in this area who do, they’ll know what to expect this Saturday,” Mrs Webster said.
“The show’s definitely ad-lib and the boys will interact with the crowd.
“I don’t say this lightly; this has the potential to be our biggest show with the appearance of the Continuous Call Team.
“They have followers from all areas of the country.
“And, they’ve already been promoting their visit to Muswellbrook on radio.
“I heard it last weekend and Ray [Hadley] mentioned it on his national program during the week.”
The 124th Upper Hunter Show opens on Friday, with ring events, plenty of entertainment and fireworks in the evening, and continues on Saturday with the Upper Hunter Showgirl competition, Motor Racing Simulator, the Crack Up Sisters and a demolition derby at night.
